Hjelme Church

Hjelme Church (Norwegian: Hjelme kirke) is a parish church in Øygarden municipality in Hordaland county, Norway. It is located in the central part of the island of Seløyna. The church is part of the Hjelme parish in the Vesthordland deanery in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, concrete church was built in 1971 to replace the Old Hjelme Church which was too small for the congregation. The church, which seats about 340 people, was designed by the architect Arne S. Halvorsen. The church was consecrated on 13 June 1971.
