Iron County School District is a school district located in Cedar City, Utah. The first school in Iron County was dedicated on December 23, 1851 in Parowan, Utah. In 1853, school was also held in Cedar City at the Old Fort. In 1856, the first school in Cedar city was built. Today, Iron County School District has eight secondary schools, nine elementary schools, and two preschools. It has a total enrollment of approximately 8,900 students.
