Jobcentre Plus

Jobcentre Plus (Welsh: Canolfan byd Gwaith; Scottish Gaelic: Ionad Obrach is Eile) is a quango used by the UK Department for Work and Pensions for its working-age support service in the United Kingdom, its services offered directly by the Department for Work and Pensions. From 2002 to 2011, it was the name of a government executive agency, formed by the amalgamation of two agencies: the Employment Service, which operated Jobcentres, and the Benefits Agency, which ran social security offices. It reported directly to the Minister of State for Employment.
