Liqui liqui

The Liqui liqui (IPA: [liki liki] in Spanish) is the national costume for men in Venezuela. Traditionally white, beige, cream or ecru, although it is available in other colors. Recently, Liqui liquis have been worn by famous personalities in Venezuela for their weddings, in a renaissance of the traditional style of dressing – for example, by Leopoldo López, the former mayor of the Caracas district of Chacao, on 10 March 2007. The singer and composer of Venezuelan folk music, Simón Díaz, is known to almost always wear one.
