Mercy Ruggles Bisbee Jackson, M.D. was an American physician. She was one of the first women to receive a Doctor of Medicine degree, specifically in obstetrics and gynecology, which was a somewhat taboo field to go into during her time. She helped many women throughout her career, showing the rest of the country what women were really capable of.
