Founded in 1970 as the Massachusetts Sociological Association, NESA is a regional organization committed to the continuing improvement of sociological research, teaching, and practice. With approximately 150 members throughout New England and beyond, NESA provides a forum for the scholarly exchange of ideas, both contributing to and reflecting the most recent advances within the discipline of sociology. Because professional organizations draw their strength from their membership, Nesa continually seeks new members and the ideas and energy that they contribute.
