Qian Yitai (Chinese: 钱逸泰; born 1941) is a Chinese chemist and a professor at University of Science and Technology of China. He was born in Zhongqiao, Wuxi in 1941, and finished middle School at Suzhou No.2 Middle School. In 1962, he graduated from Department of Chemistry, Shandong University. Then Qian became a teacher of University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), several years later he was appointed as the dean of College of Chemistry and Materials Science. From 1982 to 1993 he visited several US universities, such as Brown University and Purdue University. Is 1997 He was elected as a member of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
