SM-EOD

SM-EOD is a system for selective and contact-free disposal of mines, unexploded ordnance (UXO) and improvised explosive disposal (IED) that is either covered with soil or underwater. In the earlier days, the systems were marketed by the Schweizerische Munitionsunternehmung company (SM), with this product family being for explosive ordnance disposal (EOD). The SM-EOD product family consists of 5 different calibers, all of them are non-magnetic hollow charges mounted on a tripod. The models range from SM-EOD 20, SM-EOD 33, SM-EOD 33P, SM-EOD 67, SM-EOD 130 to SM-EOD 190 representing the largest charge. The devices are pointed at the object to be disrupted at an appropriate distance, depending on the type of ordnance. The charge is initiated either electrically or pyrotechnically. The systems
