Sophisticated Boom Boom is the debut album by the British pop group Dead or Alive, released in 1984 on Epic Records. Containing mostly synthpop and dance elements, the record was a minor success in the UK where it peaked at #29 and contained the band's first UK Top 40 single, a cover version of KC & the Sunshine Band's "That's the Way (I Like It)". That song, with "Misty Circles", were hits on the U.S. Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. The cover photograph was taken by Peter Ashworth.
