Thanga Pathakkam (English: Gold Medal) is a 1974 Tamil film directed by P. Madhavan and written by Mahendran. Produced by Shanthi Narayanaswamy and T. Manohar, the film stars Sivaji Ganesan, K. R. Vijaya, and Shrikanth in the lead roles, while Major Sundararajan and Cho Ramaswamy play supporting roles. The music was composed by M. S. Viswanathan. The film completed a 182-day run at the box office. It was remade in Telugu as Kondaveeti Simham with N. T. Rama Rao and in Hindi as Farz Aur Kanoon with Jeetendra and as Shakti with Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan. It was also an inspiration for the 2004 Kannada movie Kadamba
