The short was written and directed by Woody Tondorf, originally made as part of HBO's new media initiative, HBO Labs. In 2009, Funny or Die, in cooperation with Hasbro, produced an official series of comedy sketches titled Nerf on the Job. While not related to this video, the sketches use the same premise of using Nerf blasters in an office environment.
