WCXI

WCXI (1160 AM) is a radio station licensed to Fenton, Michigan. The station broadcasts to the Flint area and the northwestern suburbs of Detroit. The station went on the air in 1985 as WFEN with a MOR format and has sported several formats (including country, oldies, black gospel, and most recently classic country) and call signs in the years since. A new transmitter site is proposed in Milford Township, Michigan to serve both WCXI and the now silent WPON.
