WFNT (1470 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a news/talk format. Licensed to Flint, Michigan, it first began broadcasting in 1947 as WCLC, then WWOK. It became WKMF in 1953 which was a country music station during most of the years using that call sign. Its slogan during the country years was "the country music capital of the north." WKMF's country format enjoyed a high level of ratings success during the 1960s and 1970s, often ranking among or close to Flint's top five stations. It is under ownership of Townsquare Media, and its studios and transmitter are co-located in Burton, east of Flint.
