Winchester House, Putney

Winchester House is a Grade II listed at 10 Lower Richmond Road, Putney, London, overlooking the river Thames, which has been a private members club since 1892. According to English Heritage, it was built in the 18th century. However, the Winchester House Club itself claims that it was built in the early 17th century. They also note that according to legend Oliver Cromwell used the house during the Putney Debates, and planted a mulberry tree in the garden, which still bears fruit today.
