The 1926–27 season was Cardiff City's 7th season in The Football League since joining in 1920. They competed in the 22-team Football League First Division, finishing in 14th place. Hughie Ferguson was the club's top scorer with a total of 31 goals in all competitions which became a club record that would not be broken until 2003 when Robert Earnshaw scored a total of 35.
