The Irish team of Eamonn Darcy, Ronan Rafferty, and Des Smyth beat the Australian team of Rodger Davis, David Graham, and Greg Norman in the final. (As in the World Cup, Ireland was represented by a combined Ireland and Northern Ireland team.)
