1989–90 Washington Bullets season

The 1989-90 NBA season was the Washington Bullets' 29th season in the NBA. The team finished 31-51, out of the playoffs. After a 5–1 start to the season, the Bullets hopes for a good season faded quickly as they lost 16 of 18 games from mid December to mid January. The Bullets finished fourth in the Atlantic Division with a 31–51 record despite stellar seasons from Jeff Malone and Bernard King who averaged 24.3 and 22.3 points per game respectively. Following the season, Malone was traded to the Utah Jazz.
