2005 Brownlow Medal
The Brownlow Medal was awarded in 2005 to Ben Cousins from the West Coast Eagles for being the best and fairest player during the 2005 Australian Football League home and away season. It is the most prestigious individual award in Australian rules football and was held at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne, Victoria on 19 September 2005. It was Cousins first Brownlow Medal win, and the first 1–2 finish by a club in 86 years.
