2015 French Open – Women's Singles

Maria Sharapova was the defending champion, but lost in the fourth round to Lucie Šafářová. Serena Williams won her third French Open title and 20th major overall, defeating first-time Grand Slam finalist Šafářová in the final, 6–3, 6–7(2–7), 6–2. This win also gave Williams her third Career Grand Slam. Šafářová became the first Czech woman to reach the French Open final since Hana Mandlíková at the same stage in 1981.
