Aachen Formation

The Aachen Formation (Dutch: Formatie van Aken; German: Aachen-Formation) is a Cretaceous Period geologic formation in the southern Netherlands and northern Belgium, and adjacent Germany. It is part of the Chalk Group and named after the German city of Aachen.
