Abertillery and District Hospital was a community hospital in Aberbeeg, near Abertillery with approximately 91 full and part-time staff. It was latterly operated by the Aneurin Bevan Local Health Board. It was founded in 1922 and closed in 2008. It had 52 beds in three ward areas: The NHS hospital was closed in 2008. The hospital building is Grade II listed. The hospital was used for scenes in the Doctor Who episode "The Eleventh Hour", the film Skellig, and the third series of Being Human.
