Ananas erectifolius is a species of plant closely related to the pineapple. The species is native to South America (Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, northern Brazil, French Guiana). The fruit is small and holds little commercial value as food. It is often grown as an ornamental plant or as a houseplant. Its leaves have spines with stripes of colors. The species is closely related to A. lucidus and sometimes regarded as a synonym of that species.
