Badaber
Badhaber is a village in Peshawar District, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is situated on Kohat road, and some 10 kilometres away from the main Peshawar city. Badhaber is the location of the Badhaber refugee camp and jail, established in February 1980, which was the site of the Badaber Uprising in 1985, where Soviet and Afghan captives staged an armed revolt in an attempt to escape. Some other villages like Sheikh Mohammadi, Darra, Bazi Khel, Kaga wala, are situated near there. Hoorizai, khalil, momand and many other casts of people are living there, Peshawar Air Station was built in Badhaber in 1958, from which the 1960 Gary Powers U-2 mission was coordinated.
