Beira Province is one of the historic provinces of Portugal. 1832 the area became divided into * Beira Alta Province * Beira Baixa Province 1936 the area became divided into three provinces: * Beira Alta, * Beira Baixa, * Beira Litoral, containing parts of Estremadura Province in the south.
