Bodo Sahitya Sabha

On November 16, 1952, the Bodo Sahitya Sabha (Bodo: बर’ थूनलाइ आफाद), the vanguard of Bodo language and literature, was founded under the presidency of Joy Bhadra Hagjer, a Dimasa leader at Basugaon, in the district of Kokrajhar, Assam consisting of representatives of Assam, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura and Nepal in abroad.
