C.-T. James Huang

C.T. James Huang (born 1948) is a Taiwanese/Chinese linguist. He is come from Fuli township, Hualien, Taiwan. He is a Professor of Linguistics and Director of Graduate Studies at Harvard. He received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from National Taiwan Normal University in 1971 and 1974, respectively, and a Ph.D. in linguistics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1982. He received the Linguistic Society of Taiwan's Lifetime Achievement award in 2014. In 2015, he was elected a Fellow of the Linguistic Society of America.
