The airport serves the Norte de Santander Department (Spanish: North Santander State). The airport contains international facilities and is able to operate general aviation flights to international destinations. This air terminal is located 5 km from the center of the city, about 15 minutes off the Pan American Highway (Sevilla). The airport is named after Colombian aviation pioneer Camilo Daza.
