Confederate Honey is a 1940 Merrie Melodies animated cartoon short directed by Friz Freleng and produced by Leon Schlesinger. It is a sendup of Gone with the Wind, and features an early appearance by Elmer Fudd in his most familiar form. The cartoon's title is meant to evoke "Confederate money." The Merrie Melodies rings change slightly starting with this cartoon, changing from a red and blue color scheme with a sky background to a red and blue color scheme with a black background.
