DD International was an Indian International satellite television channel which is marketed towards Indian audiences living abroad, and offers an update on the social, cultural, and political aspects of India. The channel was launched on 14 March 1995 as DD International, and later renamed as DD World in year 2000 and finally rebranded as DD India in 2002.The channel is owned and operated by Doordarshan, a television network of Prasar Bharati Broadcasting Corporation and is based in New Delhi, India. Initially it had just 3 Hours of Programming, which later extended to telecasts programmes for 19 hours a day to foreign countries-via PAS-4 to Europe, Asia and Africa, and via PAS-1 to North America.
