Fountain Lake Farm
The Fountain Lake Farm, also known as Wisconsin Farm Home of John Muir, was the home of John Muir from 1849 to 1856 and 1860 to 1862. The landmark site is located at County Highway F and Gillette Road in rural Montello, Wisconsin, United States, North America and includes an area of 80 acres (32 ha). Muir attributed much of his philosophy about conservation to ideas he conceived while living at Fountain Lake Farm.
