The Freedom Campaign is a joint venture of the Human Rights Action Center and US Campaign for Burma non-profit organizations. The Freedom Campaign is focused on the advocacy and empowerment of individuals whose lives are shining testaments to peace and human rights. Nobel Peace Prize recipient Archbishop Desmond Tutu is an honorary chair, as was former Czech Republic president Václav Havel. By building awareness of global peacemakers, and bringing to light the struggles that hinder their efforts, the Freedom Campaign assists in spreading their message globally and overturning their censorship.
