Hanover Gallery

(For the tunnel structure in Gibraltar of the same name, see Hanover Battery.) The Hanover Gallery was an art gallery in London. It was established in June 1947 by the German art expert Erica Brausen and the art collector Arthur Jeffress at 32A St. George’s Street, W2, and closed on 1 April 1973. It was named for nearby Hanover Square. The Hanover Gallery was in its time an important centre for modern art.
