The song was performed eighteenth on the night, following the United Kingdom's Black Lace with "Mary Ann" and preceding Spain's Betty Missiego with "Su canción". At the close of voting, it had received 5 points, placing 18th (equal last) in a field of 19. The song was succeeded as Austrian representative in the 1980 contest by Blue Danube, singing "Du bist Musik".
