A humid subtropical climate is a zone of climate characterised by hot, usually humid summers and mild to cold winters. It normally lies on the southeast side of all continents, generally between latitudes 25° and 40°. It tends to be located at coastal or near coastal locations. However, in some cases it extends inland, most notably in China and the United States.
