It reached No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart in August 1971. "I'm Still Waiting" continued the vein of sophisticated soul as heard on Ross's breakthrough solo hit "Ain't No Mountain High Enough." However it was only a modest success in the US, reaching #63 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and #40 on the R&B chart.
