Jamal Aliyev (Russian: Джамал Aлиев, Azerbaijani: Camal Əliyev) is an Azerbaijani cellist. He was born in Baku, on 2 September 1993. Jamal made his debut with BBC Concert Orchestra, Live Broadcast on BBC Radio 3 at the Menuhin Hall, London in 2012. Same year, he took part at the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, in Switzerland performing solo with the Yehudi Menuhin School Orchestra. Jamal began his musical studies at age 5, with his grandfather Kara Aliyev. He recorded his debut CD at Champs Hill Records on a Russian Theme in March 2015 - UK.
