Jamia Islamia (Arabic:الجامعةالاسلامية بهتكل, ولاية كرناتك, الهند) a university of Islamic learning located in Tengingundi, 5 km from Bhatkal, Karnataka, India and the place is called 'Jamia Abad'. The campus covers 20 acres (8.1 ha), Of the 20 acres, 10.5 acres (4.2 ha) of land were given to the Jamia by the heirs of Mr. S.M. Syed Meera in 1967, 6 acres (2.4 ha) of land were taken on lease from the state government and the rest of the land was purchased. The school celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2012.
