Jody Mitic
MCpl (ret.) Jody Mitic (/ˈmɪtək/) (born January 3, 1977 in Kitchener, Ontario) is a Canadian politician. He currently serves as an Ottawa City Councillor, representing Innes Ward in Ottawa's east end. He was first elected in the 2014 municipal elections. Prior to entering politics, Mitic served in the Canadian Army as a sniper. He lost both of his legs in a landmine accident while fighting in the War in Afghanistan in 2007.
