Kathy Phillips Taper (née Parker) is a fictional character on the now-cancelled soap opera, Search for Tomorrow. She was played by actress and writer Courtney Sherman, and also by actress Nicolette Goulet. At one point, she was married to a controlling man named Garth Taper, but she would eventually come back to Scott. They shared a son named Doug Phillips (named after Scott's late father, Doug Martin).
