Knox Presbyterian Church (Georgetown, Ontario)
Knox Presbyterian Church is a Presbyterian Church in Canada Congregation in the Georgetown section of Halton Hills, Ontario Canada. It is named after John Knox, a founder of Presbyterianism in Scotland. Knox Church officially began in 1860. A one-storey brick church was erected in 1867. This was the first brick church in Halton County, and was located at the present Main St. & Church St. site of today's church. On February 16, 1901, the Church was destroyed by fire which was believed to have started in the furnace room. It was quickly rebuilt.
