Lieto (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈlieto]; Swedish: Lundo) is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Southwest Finland region. The municipality has a population of 19,239 (31 March 2016) and covers an area of 200.17 square kilometres (77.29 sq mi) of which 1.66 km2 (0.64 sq mi) is water. The population density is 96.92 inhabitants per square kilometre (251.0/sq mi). Neighbour municipalities are Aura, Kaarina, Marttila, Paimio, Pöytyä and Turku. The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
