Limni, Euboea

Limni (Greek: Λίμνη meaning "lake") is a town and a community in the northwestern part of the island of Euboea, Greece. It is located northwest of Chalkida and southeast of Istiaia. Limni is part of the municipal unit of Elymnioi, and it was the seat of the municipality Elymnioi. Limni had a population of 2,118 in 2001. It is built at the foot of a mountain slope, on a bay of the North Euboean Gulf. It has been suggested as the site of the ancient city of Elymnion.
