This is a list of Utah Governors by time in office. This is based on the difference between dates; if counted by number of calendar days all the figures would be one greater. (Note that the shortest-reigning and longest-reigning pope lists use numbers of calendar days.) Calvin L. Rampton and Mike Leavitt are the only Governors of Utah ever to serve more than two terms; Rampton served three full terms while Leavitt resigned during his third term to become Administrator of the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
