The tribes included the Miami centered in Kekionga (modern-day Fort Wayne, Indiana) and their nearby Eel River band, the Piankeshaw centered near modern-day Vincennes, Indiana, the Kickapoo near modern Terre Haute, Indiana, and the Wea centered near modern-day Lafayette, Indiana.
