Misty Kathrine Snow (born 1985) is one of the first two openly transgender people in the United States representing a major political party to be a nominee for a national office, and the first to become a nominee for the United States Senate. She was the first openly transgender candidate to win a major party primary for the US Senate. She won the Democratic primary vote in Utah by defeating fellow Democrat Jonathan Swinton 59.5% to 40.5%.
