Mohammad Hayya Al-Sindhi

Muhammad Hayyat ibn Ibrahim al-Sindhi (Arabic: محمد حياة بن ابراهيم السندي‎‎) (died 3 February 1750) was an Islamic scholar who lived during the period of the Ottoman Empire.He is noted as a teacher of the founder of the Wahhabi Movement, Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab. He belonged to the Naqshbandi order of Sufism. Shaykh Hayat used to say regarding his student Ibn Abd al-Wahhab; he will misguided and he will misguide many. Due to predictions of his teachers his father was harsh on him and imposed strong decipline to ensure he remains stead fast upon the path of Islam. As predicted by Shaykh Hayat al-Sindhi, after the death of Ibn Abd al-Wahhab's father, he undertook study courses in Iraq. There he was influenced by Khawarij is Basrah and deviated from Islam.
