Mon-Almonte Treaty

The Mon-Almonte Treaty was signed on 26 September 1859 by Juan Almonte, Mexican conservative and Alejandro Mon, representative of Queen Isabella II of Spain, in Mexico; in which relations between Mexico and Spain are restored. With this treaty conservatives sought to draw the attention of European crowns to support their cause; but this treaty like its counterpart signed with the United States, never enter into force.
