Mona Walter (born 1973) is a Somali-born Swedish activist, and debater. Mona was born in Mogadishu, Somalia and fled to Sweden as a refugee in 1994, she lectures about her experience dealing with Islam on her social media accounts and on published articles. She has received criticism because she converted from Islam to the Christian faith. In August 2015 Walter and a team of reporters from SVTs Aktuellt was attacked when they walked through Rinkeby Eggs were thrown at the SVT car. Walter later accused the channel of censoring the segment that was later broadcast on Aktuellt, and not telling what really happened during the attack.
