Murder of Anita Cobby

On 2 February 1986, Anita Lorraine Cobby (2 November 1959 – 2 February 1986) was killed. Five men were convicted of her murder on 10 June 1987 and sentenced to natural life in prison on 16 June 1987. At the time of the killing Cobby sustained multiple knife wounds and laceration from barbed wire, her death was a result of a slit throat and received widespread media attention in Australia.
