Musée-Placard d'Erik Satie

The Musée-Placard d'Erik Satie (Cupboard Museum of Erik Satie) is a small museum dedicated to composer Erik Satie (1866–1925). It is located in the 18th arrondissement of Paris at 6, rue Cortot, Paris, France. The "cupboard" museum consists of a tiny room that Satie occupied from 1890-1898, during which time he wrote pieces including Gnossiennes and Pièces froides. It is not an exact reconstruction but contains articles that belonged to him, especially drawings and portraits, as well as a gift from artist Man Ray (an iron bristling with nails). The museum is closed permanently since 2008.
